Senior Safety Coordinator

Area: Environmental Health and Safety

Shift: 8AM – 5PM (Varies as needed)

This position is responsible for managing the safety processes within the Solomon, KS campus on two shifts.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Leads facility safety initiatives, audits, and supports safety committees in getting assignments done.
  • Supports monthly operational goals with ideas to reduce hazards and risk exposures.
  • Creates and maintains high standards for customer service both internally and externally related to safety targets.
  • Audits EH & S processes to validate compliance and transfer of knowledge to the plant floor.

Pricing Manager

Area: Finance

This position will be responsible for creating product pricing strategies to leverage across the corporation.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Manage, set and update pricing models for inventory (buys) and salvage (buys)
  2. Manage, set and update pricing models for sale of equipment
  3. Manage, set and update quote process
  4. Pricing models updated based on
    • Inputs from Operations on cost, lead times, capacity, by product
    • Inputs from Sales and Finance on current backlog and forecast
    • Inputs from the Reclamation group on capacity, cost, shipping and other pricing factors
    • Inputs from Inventory Management group on current inventory needs, pricing, etc…
  5. Evaluate / Manage
    • Large or continuous contracts – pricing, terms, risks
    • Commodity prices
    • Sales – variance analysis of sold vs. pricing model
    • Sales – trends by product for lead times, market pricing, etc…
    • Salvage – purchase price – shipping – production cost – material sales
    • Inventory – variance of actual vs. pricing model
  6. Work closely with internal and external customers, sufficient to know the pulse of the business to maximize price with inputs from sales on the market and operations on available capacity.
  7. Work closely with plants to fill any and all open capacity within our manufacturing locations. Adjust pricing to accomplish this.
  8. Assist in securing committed delivery commitments, working with the plant’s scheduler at the manufacturing locations.
  9. Review BOM’s to ensure we utilize the best cost-to-serve approach for Solomon and the customer, based on customer requirements and specifications. (i.e. – ask questions around Al vs. copper, rewind vs. remanufacturing, etc.)
  10. Manage and approve pricing to align with the company’s revenue and EBITDA targets.
  11. Ensure consistent pricing for repeat customers and manage customer pricing contracts.

This position is responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of transformer components and supervising shop employees. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends process improvements. Environmental Coordinator

Area: Environmental/Laboratory

This advanced position is responsible for efficiently operating and managing the laboratory. Responsibilities include holding other employees responsible for work of the highest quality and ensuring all laboratory operations are performed within the framework of the Quality Assurance Plan, as well as establishing and maintaining SOPs for all environmental analyses and contributing to the formation and maintenance of QA/QC programs for the laboratory.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises laboratory employees and ensures laboratory employees are following the written Quality Assurance Plan and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintains QAP and SOPs.
  • Performs, trains and oversees all analytical testing.
  • Generates, quality checks and approves analytical test reports.
  • Ensures all samples are prepared and analyzed in accordance with Solomon Corporation Laboratory’s existing QAP and SOPs.
  • Ensures all samples reported meet Solomon Corporation Laboratory’s QC requirements.
  • Capability to troubleshoot instrument maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to recognize possible data discrepancies and investigate issues before lab reports are submitted.
  • Possess ability to accurately train employees on higher level job functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and chromatography data software is required. Proficiency with LTM and Syspro is preferred.
  • Maintains records required to establish regulatory compliance with TSCA and RCRA for Solomon Corporation
  • Monitors non-compliant PCB material receipts and tracks disposal of non-compliant PCB material
  • Performs warehouse inspections to ensure compliance with TSCA regulations
  • Maintains TX Air permit and performs monthly and annual Hazardous Air Pollutant monitoring and reporting
